Davidson guard Stephen Curry has opened up a lot of eyes during the first weekend of the 2008 NCAA post season. Friday night Curry scored 40 points en route to an upset over Gonzaga. Sunday he scored 30 points including 5 treys, as he helped Davidson overcome a 17 point deficit to defeat the Georgetown Hoyas 74-70. The Wildcats won despite the fact that Georgetown shot a scorching 63.4%(26-41) from the floor for the game.? Davidson was held to 38.6% (22-57) from the floor for the game. But the Wildcats got 61 of the teams 74 points, from just three players, Curry with 30 points, guard Jason Richards with 20 points, and forward Andrew Lovedale with 11. Hoyas center Roy Hibbert never got into sync, as he scored just 6 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist. Georgetown was led by guard Jessie Sapp with 14 points. Davidson will take on Wisconsin next week in the “Sweet Sixteen.”
