Lee’s 29 Helps Western Kentucky End San Diego’s Tourney Run 72-63

#12 Western Kentucky is definitely a team of contrasts; first they lose leads, then they somehow manage to redeem themselves late in games.? Sunday’s game against San Diego was exactly like that; however, Courtney Lee’s 29 points helped the Hilltoppers get past the Toreros, 72-63 in the second round of the NCAA West regional.? Western Kentucky’s leading scorer was the aforementioned Lee with 29 points, 7 rebounds, an assist and 3 steals, while Tyrone Brazelton scored 15 with 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and a block.? San Diego was led by Gyno Pomare with 20 points with 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals and a block while Brandon Johnson scored 13 with 4 rebounds, 4 assists but 6 turnovers.? Western Kentucky advances to the NCAA West semi-finals, hosting UCLA?on Thursday, March 27.?
