So far in this year’s NCAA tournament, #1 North Carolina has made it look easy, scoring around 110.5 PPG against admittedly weaker opponents; Sunday would bring them a tougher foe, #9 Arkansas.? The Tar Heels went through the Razorbacks like a hot knife goes through butter, shooting a blistering 67.7% from the floor as they led from beginning to end in blasting Arkansas 108-77 in the second round of the NCAA East regional Sunday at RBC Center in Raleigh,?NC.?

North Carolina’s leading scorer was Wayne Ellington with 20 points, 3 rebounds and an assist while Ty Lawson scored 19 with 4 rebounds and 7 assists; Tyler Hansbrough added 17 with 10 rebounds, an assist and a steal while Deon Thompson chipped in with 16 along with a rebound, 3 assists and 3 blocks.?Arkansas was led by Sonny Weems with 19 points, a rebound, 3 assists and a steal while Darian Townes scored 15 with 9 rebounds and 2 blocks; Patrick Beverley added 14 with 4 rebounds and 3 assists.? North Carolina will now face Washington State in the NCAA East regional semifinals on Thursday, March 27, at Charlotte, NC.?
