?Seattle Super Sonics team owner Clay Bennett is trying to sell the people of Seattle another bill of goods.?He?is trying to come off as a good guy, but what he is trying to sell as a magnanimous gesture,??is coming off more like a meaningless gesture. The Seattle Times reported Tuesday that when the Seattle SuperSonics are moved by team owner Clay Bennett to Oklahoma City either at the end of this season, or once the lease runs out in the next couple of years the team’s name and colors will be left in Seattle. Of course the fact that the the Oklahoma City SuperSonics would sound flat out ridiculous, does not figure into the equation.? Seattle was given the name SuperSonics, because of the city’s connection with the Aeronautics Industry. The color?green comes from the city’s nickname the “Emerald City.” The prevalent color in Oklahoma is red clay it seeps into your pores, and you’ll be digging it out of your ears for weeks, after you leave there. As far as a name if you want to have it be relatable to Oklahomans, I would suggest the “Oklahoma Cow-Pie Kickers.”
