Webber Come Back With Warriors Fizzles Out

The “San Francisco Chronicle” Tuesday reported that veteran big man Chris Webber’s come back attempt with the Golden State Warriors is either, nearing or already at an end. The report says that that either injury, ineffectiveness or a combination of the two may have led to Webber’s demise. Webber sat out the entire campaign until last month when he came out of retirement, and joined his original team, and original coach. When reporters asked Warriors coach Don Nelson whether Webber could make a return to the floor this season, Nelson responded “It’d be pretty hard at this point.”
