ESPN.com reported Tuesday night that Golden State Warriors big man?Chris Webber will announce his retirement on Wednesday.? Warriors spokesman Raymond Ridder said that the 15 year veteran will make his?announcement at a press conference to be held on Wednesday.??Webber sat out the entire campaign until last month when he came out of retirement, and joined his original team, and original coach. However Webber’s balky knee which has hampered his career over the last few seasons, allowed him to only play in nine games for Golden State. Much was made of the reunion, when Webber returned to the Warriors, after an acrimonious parting early in Webber’s career. Warriors coach Don Nelson, at that time said he thought Webber could be the X factor to propel Golden State far in the NBA Post Season.?
