NBA To Play Preseason Games In Europe

You have to admit, the National Basketball Association is making great strides in promoting professional basketball to an international audience - better than any other professional sports league; according to the NBA and EA Sports, the league will be sending the Miami Heat, New Jersey Nets, New Orleans Hornets and Washington Wizards overseas to play some preseason games in Barcelona, Berlin, London and Paris in October 2008 as part of NBA Europe Live 2008.
NBA Europe Live 2008 will include the Heat taking on the Nets on October 9, 2008, at the Palais Omnisports de Paris Bercy in Paris; both teams will then travel to London for their second game on October 12 at The O2 Arena. The game between the Hornets and Wizards will take place on October 14 at OS World in Berlin, Germany; both teams will play their second game in Barcelona, Spain on October 17 at the Palau Sant Jordi. Besides the basketball action, the NBA will conduct a variety of community events and programs in each of the host cities in conjunction with the NBA Cares initiative.
