The Xavier Musketeers are heading to the “Elite Eight” as they defeated West Virginia Thursday night 79-75 in overtime.? Reserve swing-man BJ Raymond clinched the win?for Xavier in their “Sweet Sixteen” match-up with two key treys in the last 1:18 seconds of the overtime. The Musketeers shot 57.9% (11-19) from behind the arc in the game. Xavier was led by forward Josh Duncan who scored 26 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist. West Virginia was led by Joe Alexander who recorded a double-double with 18 points, 10 boards.??Xavier will play the winner of the UCLA?Western Kentucky game on Saturday.
