Pacers’ O’Neal To Return Soon?

?The Indiana Pacers are always in search of good news; perhaps they may have received some when, according to SportsTicker, forward Jermaine O’Neal has indicated that there is a small chance that he may return to action - perhaps as early as Monday.? O’Neal participated in Friday morning’s shootaround and said that Monday’s game against the Miami Heat was the likeliest return date for him.?

Assuming everything goes according to plan, the addition of O’Neal to the Pacers’ lineup will give them that needed boost offensively as they pursue the #8 playoff spot in the Eastern Conference; O’Neal underwent surgery on the knee last April and has been affected by the injury, as he is averaging 15.3 PPG and 7.3 RPG - numbers that have declined the past 2 seasons.
