Donnie & Larry Heading To Milwaukee?
Posted by Jeff Sack under Main
The “New York Daily News” reported Monday that if current Indiana Team President Donnie Walsh is going to consummate a deal with the New York Knicks to take over their operation, the deal will probably become a reality some time this week. However the report says that Walsh has an alternative if he decides the Knicks position is not to his liking. The report states that U.S. Senator and Milwaukee Bucks Team Owner Herb Kohl has made overtures? to both Walsh and Larry Brown about bringing them in as a tandem. Kohl had offered the position to former Bulls and Wizards head coach Doug Collins, but Collins is too comfortable in his role as NBA analyst on TNT (and in this observer’s?opinion, he does the best job in this role of anyone on the planet.)?There is no word on what roles the two would fill, though Brown has said he is looking to return to the bench. If this scenario were to pan out, it would reunite the pair from their days in Indiana, when Brown coached for Walsh with the Pacers.
