Miller’s 24 Leads Resurgent 76ers Past Nets 108-99

The Philadelphia 76ers appear to be on a roll as of late, and they’re getting contributions all across the board.? In Tuesday’s game against the New Jersey Nets, Andre Miller provided the firepower, but some key baskets late in the game by Lou Williams sent the 76ers to their 20th win in their last 27 contests as they defeated the Nets, 108-99 at IZOD Center.
Both teams shot well in the first half, as they both shot 55% from the floor; both teams went into halftime tied at 57.? Behind by 5 points entering the fourth quarter, New Jersey reduced the Sixers’ lead to 93-91 on a 3-pointer by Vince Carter with 4:11 left in the game; Philadelphia’s Williams then took over, as he drained a trey for a 96-91 lead.? Williams would also make 2 baskets, giving the Sixers a 100-93 lead with 2:28 left; Philadelphia’s Andre Iguodala then stole the ball from Carter on the next possession and Samuel Dalembert scored, giving the Sixers an insurmountable 102-93 lead.
Philadelphia’s high scorer was Miller with 24 points, 5 rebounds, 11 assists and a steal while Iguodala scored 17 with 6 rebounds, 10 assists and 2 steals; Willie Green added 16 with a rebound, 4 assists and a steal while Dalembert chipped in with 15, along with 13 rebounds, 2 steals and 5 blocks.? New Jersey was led by Carter with 29 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists, a steal and a block while Devin Harris scored 22 with 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and a block.? Philadelphia (38-37) hope to continue their hot play as they travel to Atlanta to face the Hawks on Friday while New Jersey (31-44) jets to Detroit to take on the Pistons – also on Friday.
