There are certain games during a NBA season, when one team may not have an overly large lead over their opponent, but they are totally in control the whole game. That was pretty much the story for win number 59 of the 2007-2008 NBA Campaign as the Boston Celtics dominated the Chicago Bulls Tuesday night 106-92. Ray Allen led?the attack for the Green?Team with 22 points. Boston is now six games ahead of Detroit for home court advantage in the NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs.

Neither team looked particularly strong offensively in the first quarter, as Boston held?a 22-17 lead after the contest’s first 12 minutes. ?Both teams seemed to come out of their funk in the? second quarter as the Celtics were ahead at the half 50-43. With 9:54 left in the third Chicago cut the lead to 2 points, as Luol Deng hit a running jumper to make it a 56-54 game. But the Celtics quickly pulled ahead again leading by as much as double digits, and ending the quarter on top 79-73. The fourth quarter quickly turned into a rout.

Ray Allen scored 22 points, 6 assists, 2 rebounds, 1 block in the Boston victory. Kevin Garnett scored 20 points, 7 boards, 4 blocks, 2 assists, 1 steal, Paul Pierce scored 17 points, 2 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, 1 rebound. ?James Posey came off the bench and scored 11 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block.

Tyrus Thomas had a strong game for the Bulls as he started in place of the injured Drew Gooden. Thomas scored a game high 24 points, 7 boards, 1 steal.? Andres Nocioni scored 19 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, Luol Deng scored 10 points, 5 assists, 3 steals, 2 rebounds. Boston now is an Association best 59-15, the Bulls are 29-45.
