??????????????????????????

The New Orleans Hornets have been nearly perfect on their most recent road trip; the only thing that may trump their recent successes is the perfect game that center Tyson Chandler had Wednesday against the Miami Heat (but then again, a lot of players have near-perfect games against Miami it seems, but I digress).? Chandler shot a perfect 10-for-10 from the field, leading New Orleans to a surprisingly easy win over Miami, 106-77, at American Airlines Arena.

New Orleans led by as many as 16 in the first half before settling for a 54-41 lead going into halftime; the Hornets would stretch their advantage to 20 by opening the third quarter with a 9-2 run.? Yet the Heat fought back; Chris Quinn had 11 points in a 7 1/2 minute stretch, and his 3-pointer? with 1:43 left in the period got Miami to within 70-66, thanks to a 23-7 explosion.? But the Hornets offense was too much, closing the game, outscoring the Heat on a 36-11 spurt.

New Orleans’ leading scorer was David West with 22 points and 6 rebounds while the aforementioned Chandler scored 20 with 10 rebounds, 2 assists, a steal and a block; Chris Paul recorded a double-double with 14 points, along with 5 rebounds, 10 assists and a steal.? Miami was led by Quinn with 18 points, including 4 three-pointers, 7 rebounds and 9 assists while reserve Blake Ahearn scored 15, including 3treys, 2 rebounds and 2 assists.? New Orleans (52-22) will now return home to host the New York Knicks on Friday while Miami (13-62) flies?to Washington, D.C. to face the Wizards - also on Friday.
