Johnson And Paul Named NBA Players Of The Month

The NBA announced Tuesday that Atlanta? Hawks guard Joe Johnson NBA Player of the Month in the the Eastern Conference. New Orleans point guard Chris Paul was awarded the honor for the Western Conference. Johnson during the month of March averaged 24.9 ppg and 7.0 assists per contest. Johnson was a scoring machine as he scored 20 or more points 12 times during the month including eight straight games. He also scored 30 points or more three times during the month.

Chris Paul was nothing short of brilliant during the third month of the calendar year. Paul averaged 24.0 ppg 13.3 assists, and 2.67 steals in the month. The Hornets went 11-4 during the month, and Paul had at least 10 assists per game in 12 of those games. He also had 199 assists for the month.
