The Dallas Mavericks are in relatively good shape, playoff-wise, and they got a bit of good news when Dirk Nowitzki returned to the Mavs’ lineup Wednesday against Golden State.? Jason Terry and Josh Howard combined for 59 points, leading Dallas to the easy victory over Golden State 111-86 at American Airlines Center.

The game was never in doubt for Dallas as they led from the tipoff to the final buzzer.? The Mavericks outperformed the Warriors in all of the major categories: field goals (45-33), rebounds (56-38), assists (35-10) and turnovers (11 to Golden State’s 15).? Dallas’ leading scorer was Terry with 31 points, including 3 treys, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and a steal while Howard scored 28 with 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals; Nowitzki added 18 with 5 rebounds and a block while Jason Kidd, while scoring only 5 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, dished out 17 assists and had 4 steals.? Erick Dampier grabbed 11 boards.

Golden State was led by Monta Ellis with 27 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists while Baron Davis scored 20 with 3 rebounds, an assist, 3 steals but 6 turnovers.? Dallas (47-28) now flies to Los Angeles for a key game with the Lakers on Friday while Golden State (45-30) travels to Tennessee to take on the Memphis Grizzlies – also on Friday.
