Joe Johnson & Kobe Bryant Named NBA Players Of The Week

The NBA announced Monday that Atlanta Hawks guard Joe Johnson was named the NBA Eastern Conference Player Of The Week. Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant was awarded the honor for the Western Conference. Johnson who was also named Eastern Conference Player Of The Month for March, helped Atlanta to go 3-1 last week. He shot 55.6% from the floor for the week, and 45.5% from outside the arc. He averaged 25.3 ppg, 8.3 assists, and?5.5 rebounds per game.

Kobe helped the Lakers get to 3-0 during the week, as they played three Western Conference opponents. Bryant averaged 30 points, 9.3 boards, 6 assists, per game. He also shot a scalding 68.8% from outside the arc for the week.
