Injury May End Bobcats’ Wallace Season Prematurely
Posted by Jeff Sack under Main
The Associated Press reported Tuesday that Charlotte Bobcats forward Gerald Wallace is leaning towards sitting out the remaining games of his team’s schedule due to a strained groin. Wallace missed the loss to the Boston Celtics Saturday night, and had a MRI on Tuesday. The test revealed no tear. Wallace told reporters because his club has been eliminated from playoff contention, he would rather err on the side of caution, than risk doing further damage. Wallace in February missed eight games after suffering his fourth concussion in as many years. The injury caused him to move from power forward to the small forward position. Wallace averaged 19.4 points, 6 rebounds per game this season.
