No Late Season Return For “Batman”

The Orlando Sentinel reported Thursday that the Orlando Magic have abandoned any idea of trying to bring back injured veteran power forward Tony Battie for the Post Season. The Magic other than Dwight Howard do not have a lot of size up front, as both starting?forwards Hedo Turkoglu, and Rashard Lewis are more finesse type players. “Batman” has been out all season as he underwent shoulder surgery before the campaign started. Magic G.M. Otis Smith said he and other club officials had contemplated the idea, but decided the long term risks out weighed the shot term gains.
