Bynum Given Thumbs Down By New York Doctor

The Associated Press reported Thursday evening that Los Angeles Lakers center Andrew Bynum did not get the answer he was looking for from a New York City doctor. Bynum had a consultation with?knee specialist Dr. David Altcheck, and Altcheck said Bynum is not ready to resume practicing?with the team. Altcheck who treated Bynum when the center was a high school player, said that this was not a setback for Bynum who had hoped to play Sunday against the San Antonio Spurs. No come back date hasw been set, but it now appears the LA may start the playoffs without Bynum.
