Walsh Says Zeke Will Have To Sell Himself

I have the feeling that newly installed New York Knicks Team President Donnie Walsh is going to quickly turn into a favorite with the New York media. Now I’m not saying that he will turn around the dysfunctional franchise named the Knicks. But he is a dream come true for media members, he as the late?great Howard Cosell would say he “Tell’s it like it is.” There is no spin with Walsh, which is refreshing for those of us who usually deal with that in 80% of the people you interview in sports.

Wednesday Walsh?told reporters he is planning on meeting with former Team President and current Knicks coach Isiah Thomas. The NYC Tabloids were all eagerly anticipating Walsh dismissing Zeke right then and there. Was not going to happen, Walsh says he still has not formed an opinion, and even if he had what good would it do to fire him with a week left in the season? Donnie, is no dummy, he’s the opposite he’s savvy! Walsh?said he wants Zeke to explain what has happened over his tenure. Why have the Knicks gotten to this state?? Walsh told reporters “You can say I have an open mind as far as any conversation I’m going to have.?I still don’t think we’ve played well, there’s a lot of things I want to talk about. So it’s not totally open. It’s not like I’m going in saying, Well, this has all been great, so what do you want to talk about?” Walsh plans on having the meeting before next Wednesday.
