The Associated Press reported that Chicago Bulls power forward Drew Gooden has been shut down for the team’s remaining three games because of an abdominal strain he suffered last month. The former Cleveland Cavalier forward who was traded to Chicago along with Larry Hughes on February 21, had missed seven straight games including Friday night’s victory over Cleveland.?Gooden averaged 12.0 ppg, and 8.6 rpg for the season. He played in 18 games for Chicago this year. Bulls interim head coach Jim Boylan said that Gooden can be a player? with impact for Chicago in the coming seasons.? Boylan told reporters “He needs to be more consistent, but I thought he had some good games.?I thought he played with good energy, gave us something down low, which we needed. I’m looking forward to having him around next season.”
