U.S. Senators Ask NBA To Delay Sonics Vote

The Associated Press?reported Wednesday that the two U.S. Senators from the state of Washington, have requested that the NBA postpone their vote approving the move of the Seattle SuperSonics to Oklahoma City. Senator Maria Cantwell, and Senator Patty Murray told the league that they do not think the Sonics ownership group acted in good faith while trying to procure a new arena in the Emerald City. Previously Washington Governor Chris Gregoire made the same accusations. Sonics majority owner Clay Bennett has said that he plans on moving the team to his hometown, as soon as he possibly can.
