Skiles To Become Bucks’ New Coach?

??????????????????????????????????????????????

As of this writing, it appears that the Milwaukee Bucks have found their new coach; according to the New York Post, the team has come to a verbal agreement with former Chicago Bulls coach Scott Skiles.? Assuming Skiles accepts the Bucks’ coaching position, he would replace Larry Krystkowiak, who was fired from Milwaukee last Thursday.? Another media outlet, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, is reporting that the bucks and Skiles are making marked progress in their contract negotiations.? An interesting choice for their head coach; Skiles, if anything, should lend some fire to a team that has typically underachived for the past few seasons.? At least Milwaukee didn’t hire Larry Brown, so in essence, the Bucks did themselves a big favor by hiring Skiles, as opposed to say Brown or some college coach.

Skiles should do a decent job. I have always thought he was a pretty focused coach. He will need to start with some new recruits to his squad though.
