Sonics Will Remain In Northwest Divison No Matter Where They Are Located

The “Oklahoman” reported Monday that the team currently known as the Seattle SuperSonics, will remain in the NBA Northwest Division no matter where they are located.? Last week the NBA Board of Governors approved the request by Sonics team ownership to move the team to Oklahoma City. The name and the colors will remain, only the? team and the players will be leaving. There is much acrimony between the Association and the city of Seattle. Seattle says that Team Owner Clay Bennett, bought the team with the idea of moving the team to Oklahoma City all along. ?Meanwhile, the NBA says that the city supplied new stadiums for the Mariners and the Seahawks but turned a blind eye to the Sonics.
