Haywood Won’t Receive Suspension For James Foul
Posted by Stephen Rhodes under NBA PLAYOFFS
For most of you who watched the Washington Wizards-Cleveland Cavaliers game on national TV, you probably saw the hard foul that Wizards center Brendan Haywood laid into Cavaliers forward LeBron James.? A pretty brutal foul, if you ask me.? But be that as it may, the NBA saw things a bit differently as according to the Washington Post, Haywood will not be suspended by the league despite the “flagrant-2 foul” that he was whistled for during their game on Monday night.
The foul in question, the “flagrant-2 foul”, was whistled on Haywood when he knocked James to the ground while James was mid-air on a drive to the basket; Haywood was also ejected from the game, as a result.? A spokesman from the league said that although Haywood wouldn’t be suspended, they agreed with the officials’ call and their decision to eject Haywood from the game.? Haywood and James have hooked up in the past, most recently Game 1 of the series between the 2 teams.
