In a first, Phoenix Suns forward Grant Hill was awarded the Joe Dumars Trophy for outstanding sportsmanship (ethical behavior, fair play and integrity) in the NBA; Hill winning the award isn’t the rarity here.? Hill is the first NBA player to win the award twice, which speaks volumes about the man himself.? Hill won the trophy for the first time in 2005 while as a member of the Orlando Magic; the award in and of itself is awarded by voting that takes place among the active NBA players currently in the league.?In the voting, following Hill, Shane Battier of the Houston Rockets came in second while Brandon Roy of the Portland Trail Blazers placed third.?
