I just knew that it would be a matter of time before ex-Dallas Mavericks coach Avery Johnson would pique some team’s interest; not surprisingly, one of the teams in question is the New York Knicks.? According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, Knicks president Donnie Walsh has made contact with Johnson to express interest in interviewing him.? While doing this, Walsh is also monitoring the D’Antoni situation down in Phoenix – which I fully expect to come to closure as early as today as a meeting between D’Antoni and the Suns front office is scheduled.
