Reports Say Carlisle Has Interviewed For Mavericks Coach Job

ESPN is reporting that the Dallas Mavericks interviewed former Indiana, and Detroit head coach Rick Carlisle to fill their head coaching position. Carlisle who was dismissed after the 2007 campaign from the Pacers has been analyst for ESPN is the first candidate that has been interviewed for the position. Former Mavericks coach Avery Johnson was terminated?less than 24 hours after losing their first road series to New Orleans earlier this week. Mavericks G.M. Donnie Nelson is expected to interview a bevy of candidates before making a choice.
