Hawks Forward Williams Status Unclear For Game Seven VS Boston
Posted by Jeff Sack under NBA PLAYOFFS
The Associated Press reported Saturday that Atlanta Hawks forward Marvin Williams chances of playing in game seven are dicey after injuring his left knee Friday night. Williams who led the Hawks in their 103-100 victory over Boston in game six with 18 points, sprained his left knee after colliding with Celtics forward Paul Pierce in the fourth quarter. Williams took part in a 30 minute shoot around on Saturday, and could not bend the knee. He told reporters that it was reporters that he was in pain, which was obvious to all who watched. Atlanta coach Mike Woodson told the media that he thought Williams would play Sunday because it was game seven, a goal they had worked all season to reach. Boston hosts the Hawks at 1:00pm Sunday.
