D’Antoni’s Departure From Phoenix Could Be Rapidly Approaching

The Associated Press reported Sunday night that Phoenix Suns Team President and General Manager Steve Kerr told a Phoenix Radio station that he has granted permission for Suns coach Mike D’Antoni to talk with other NBA franchises that currently have coaching vacancies. Kerr told Phoenix ESPN affiliate KTAR-Radio AM-620 that he has given D’Antoni permission to talk with New York and Chicago who both in need of a new bench boss. According to the report Suns Team Owner Robert Sarver and Kerr believe that their are too many philosophical difference between them and the coach?to retain him for next year. The report states that if he is hired by? another team before they terminate, him they would be off the financial hook.
