The NBA announced Tuesday maybe the worst kept secret in sports, that Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers has been?chosen the recipient? of the NBA MVP Award for the 2007-2008 campaign. The news actually came out on Saturday as the Los Angeles Times broke the story. Bryant received 1105 total points, and 82 first place votes to win the honor for the first time in his career. New Orleans Hornets point guard Chris Paul finished second with 889 points, 28 first place votes. Boston Celtics forward?Kevin Garnett came in third with 670, and 15, while LeBron James placed fourth with 438 points, 1 first place vote.
