Whether he will be the starting center for the Toronto Raptors is unclear, but according to the team, they announced on Friday that Rasho Nesterovic’s option was exercised for the 2008-2009 season; as per their policy, financial terms were not revealed.? He just finished his second season with the Raptors (his 10th in the NBA), appearing in 71 games (39 of them starts) while averaging 7.8 PPG, 4.8 RPG and 20.9 minutes per game and leading the team in field goal percentage (55%).? In his career, Nesterovic has averaged 7.0 PPG and 5.5 RPG while playing in 699 career games for Minnesota, San Antonio and Toronto; he was a member of the Spurs’ 2005 NBA championship team.
