The Chicago Bulls underwent a very turbulent season in the 2007-2008 NBA campaign. They fired their coach Scott Skiles on Christmas Eve, and participated in a three way blockbuster trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Seattle SuperSonics on February 21. They fired their interim coach Jim Boylan the day after the regular season ended. They then thought they had reached an agreement with Mike D’Antoni to become their new bench boss. D’Antoni though chose to take the same position with the New York Knicks. Their luck may have turned around on Tuesday night however, as they now hold the number one pick in next month’s NBA Draft.

The Bulls jumped from the number nine spot, to get the top pick. Their odds going into the NBA Draft Lottery of getting the number one pick were?a minuscule 1.7%.?Chicago is expected?to take either Memphis freshman point guard Derrick Rose, or Kansas State forward Michael Beasley with the choice. The Miami Heat got the second pick in the draft, the Minnesota Timmberwolves?ended?with the third selection. The rest of the?lottery picks? shook out ?like this.
