Spurs Celebrate Series Win By Sleeping On The Plane

The Associated Press reported Tuesday that the San Antonio Spurs celebrated their series win in?over the New Orleans Hornets Monday night, by sleeping on the team’s chartered?plane. The?Spurs plane had mechanical problems and could not fly.? Spurs team spokesman Cliff Puchalski says the team could not find hotel rooms in New Orleans (You don’t think that had anything to do with the Spurs just eliminating the Hornets from the Post Season, do you? What happened to “Southern Hospitality?”) So these very tall men did their?best to try to catch some shut-eye on the plane. The aircraft left New Orleans at 6:30am CDT Tuesday and arrived in Los Angeles four hours later.? The Spurs will face the Lakers at the Staples Center Wednesday night for game one of the Western Conference Finals.
