With the victory the Celtics take a 1-0 lead in the NBA?Eastern Conference Finals. Boston remains unbeaten so far at home during the NBA Playoffs.

The Celtics were?the aggressors from the jump Tuesday night. They took a 22-17 lead at the end of the first quarter, as Detroit looked as if the time off between series had effected their rhythm. The Pistons came alive during the second quarter, but Boston still had a razor thin 41-40 lead at the half. The Celtics dominated?during the third quarter, and were up 69-57 heading into the game’s final 12 minutes of play. The Pistons got no closer than six points behind the Celtics, and were never a threat in the fourth quarter.

KG scored 26 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks, 1 steal, in the Boston victory. Paul Pierce who led the Celtics past the Cavaliers Sunday scored 22 points, 6 assists, 6 rebounds, Rajon Rondo came up huge for Boston as he scored 11 points, a game high 7 assists, a game high 5 steals, 2 rebounds, and just one turnover playing 40 minutes.

Detroit was led by Tayshaun Prince who scored 16 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists.??Richard Hamilton scored 15 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, Antonio McDyess recorded a double-double, as he scored 14 points, grabbed 11 boards, 1 block, 1 assist.? Rasheed Wallace scored 11 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals. Game two of the series will also be played in Boston, on Thursday night.
