Well folks, the 2008 NBA Draft is right around the corner and already we had a surprise in the Chicago Bulls bucking the odds and grabbing the #1 overall pick.? With that in mind, I will on a daily basis until just before the draft, provide you with my take on the needs of the teams and who I project them to draft in the first round.?
Chicago Bulls
Draft Position – #1
Needs – Point guard, power forward.? I truly expect Kirk Hinrich to be let go by the Bulls and perhaps a combination of Ben Gordon, Luol Deng and/or Chris Duhon in a trade.? Forward, oddly enough, is a position of weakness for Chicago – Andres Nocioni and Joakim Noah aside.? However, they have Drew Gooden.? Despite all of that, I really think that the Bulls will draft a power forward with their pick.
Chicago selects: Michael Beasley, power forward, Kansas State
Tomorrow: Miami Heat
