Reports Say Rambis Impressed Paxson In Interview Session
Posted by Jeff Sack under Main
The “Chicago Tribune” Wednesday reported according to sources close to the team?Chicago Bulls General Manager John Paxson was very impressed with Los Angleles Lakers assistant coach Kurt Rambis when the two met for an interview recently.? Rambis was just one of many candidates the Chicago G.M. has interviewed in his quest for the next bench boss of his team.? Paxson has also expressed an interest with meeting with Houston Rockets assistant Elston Turner, and former Denver Nuggets head coach Jeff Bzdelick. Rambis, who?played for the Lakers during the “Showtime Era“, was ironically the antithesis of flashy as a player. He was a plugger, who made up in effort what he lacked in athleticism.? He also was the Lakers interim coach during the 1998-1999 season, he had a record of 24-13 in the regular season. His team went 3-5 in the NBA Playoffs.
