The Associated Press reported on Tuesday that things were looking considerably more positive as far as Boston Celtics reserve guard Tony Allen’s health is concerned. Monday reports circulated that Boston’s fourth year veteran could miss game one of the NBA Finals due to strained right Achilles tendon. Allen missed the final two games of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals due to the injury. Tuesday however, Allen exceeded expectations by participating in a a full practice and looking no worse for the wear. Celtics coach Doc Rivers only expected Allen to participate in the first half of the practice, but the guard felt so good he took part in the whole session. Allen was a strong defensive force for Boston, during the Celtics two wins during the regular season against the Lakers. Boston hosts the team from Los Angeles this Thursday night.

???????????????????????????????????????????????
Yesterday, I covered the Sacramento Kings’ draft needs and also projected who they would select with their first-round pick.? Today I cover the Portland Trail Blazers’ draft needs and also predict who they will select with their first-round pick.
Portland Trail Blazers
Draft Position - #13
Needs - Power forward.? The Trail Blazers are a difficult team to gauge as far as actual needs are concerned.? The roster is full of youth and upside and there is no glaring weakness at any given position.? This will probably be a case of drafting the best available athlete at their slot in the first round.
Portland Trail Blazers select: Donte Greene, SF/PF, Syracuse
Tomorrow: Golden State Warriors
