Yesterday I covered the Portland Trail Blazers’ draft needs and who I projected as their selection with their first-round pick.? Today I will cover the Golden State Warriors’ draft needs and who I predict they will draft with their first-round pick.

Golden State Warriors

Draft Position – #14

Needs – Power forward, shooting guard.? At least we know that Nellie (coach Don Nelson) will be back as will point guard Baron Davis.?Monta Ellis is up in the air – or so it seems.? But despite what you see on the Warriors’ current roster, they’re top-heavy at forward, yet have a need there.? ?Why, you ask?? Simply because they have too many players at that position who are “deadwood” and probably will never have a long-term future in Oakland.? Players such as: Austin Croshere, Brendan Wright and possibly Kelenna Azubuike.? The Warriors are, and will remain for the short-term future, a run-and-gun team.
