The “Boston Globe” reported Friday that Boston Celtics head coach Doc Rivers says Celtics starting center Kendrick Perkins has at best a 50/50 shot of playing Sunday as the Celtics take on the Los Angeles Lakers in game five of the NBA Finals. Perkins was injured Thursday night as Boston won game four against the Lakers.?The “Green Team” center left the contest in the third quarter?after he collided with Los Angeles forward Lamar Odom and jammed his left shoulder. He went to the Boston locker room and never returned to the game. Perkins was also injured in game one of the series as he sprained an ankle.?Rivers told reporters Friday that his team had it’s share of bumps and bruises, staring point guard?Rajon Rondo?started the contest, with a sprained left ankle, but played limited minutes. Paul Pierce had sprained his right knee in game one as well. The Boston coach said “We’re not in great physical shape, there’s no doubt about that. I think our guys are mostly gamers. It’s amazing going through this. That’s part of it. It’s a lot of physical and mental things that you have to go through, and we’re going through it.” Boston leads the series 3-1, game five will be held at the Staples Center.
