Slam Dunk Central Reporter Stephen Rhodes’ 2008 NBA Mock Draft

?????????????????????????????????????????????????????Seattle SuperSonics

I somehow managed to not do a 2008 NBA Mock Draft analysis on Saturday – thank you very much real life – but will do a double dose today.? On Friday, I covered the Utah Jazz’ draft needs and projected who they would select with their first-round pick.? Today, I will cover the Seattle SuperSonics’ draft needs and will also predict who they will select with their first-round pick.

Seattle SuperSonics

Draft Position – #24 (Seattle receives Kurt Thomas and 2 future 1st round picks from Phoenix for future conditional 2nd round pick)

Needs – Center, point guard.? Center is definitely a position of need in Seattle.? After all, they have Robert Swift, Mouhamed Sene, Francisco Elson and Johan Petro.? Granted, they have lots of able bodies, but none of the aforementioned – if I was a SuperSonics fan – do it for me.? Nor should they do anything for you.? Point guard seems to be a weakness, as well; Luke Ridenour and Earl Watson as your options?? Certainly they can do better than those two.

Seattle SuperSonics select: Robin Lopez, center, Stanford

Later today: Houston Rockets
