The Boston Celtics are back on top of the NBA after defeating the Los Angeles Lakers?131-92 in game six of the NBA Finals to take their seventeenth NBA Championship. It is the first NBA Title in 22 years for the “Green Team.” The Championship is the culmination of a total remake of the team in the off-season by Celtics Director of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge.?In two separate deals, the Celtics traded for Ray Allen from Seattle and?Kevin Garnett from Minnesota. Celtics Blowing Out Lakers at the Half 58-35 Of Game Six Of NBA Finals

If I am Doc Rivers early in the second quarter, I would insert Davis into the game. Who do the Lakers have who can match up against the ?Big Baby?? Pau Gasol certainly is not strong enough, I don?t think even Lamar Odom is. Turiaf is too small, and we all saw that Chris Mihm was totally ineffective in game five. With Andrew Bynum sidelined since January, ironically this would the one time that the Lakers could use Kwame Brown ! Will ?Big Baby? Take His First Steps In The Finals In Game Six?

Apparently Doc Rivers and I have the same mindset, as the “Big Baby” made his NBA Finals debut, and though he was not a force on the offensive end he was a help on the defensive end. Davis was put in the game at 11:17 in the second and helped the Boston Celtics take a 58-35? at the end of the second quarter. Kevin Garnett has 17 points,?6 rebounds, 3 assists,?as he has had his best game of the finals so far. Paul Pierce has 10 points, 9 assists, 3 rebounds, 1 steal, for Boston.?Kobe Bryant has 14 for the Lakers. If the Celtics hold on to win it will be the first NBA Championship in 22 years, number 17 in the franchise’s history.

Boston Leads Lakers 24-20 At The End Of First Quarter

The Boston Celtics took a 24-20 lead over the Los Angeles Lakers?at the end of the first quarter Tuesday night in game six of the NBA Finals in the “New Garden.” Celtics guard Ray Allen is out of the game as he went up and in to get a basket for Boston but was poked in the eye by Lamar Odom. No foul was called, Allen is expected to return. Kobe Bryant? was the high scorer with 11 points as he hit 3 treys. Kevin Garnett scored 10 points, as he hit 3 consecutive outside jumpers, and then ignited the crowd with an alley-oop.

Clippers’ Dunleavy: What Me Worry?

The “Orange County Register” reported Tuesday that Los Angeles Clippers head coach Mike Dunleavy said he is not really troubled about the fact that two of his core players can opt out of their contracts and become free agents on July 1. Corey Maggette, and Elton Brand both may opt out of the last year of their deals and test the free agent waters. Dunleavy told reporters that he believes the duo will find that there are not a lot of franchises in the Association that can pay them a lot of money. The Clippers bench boss said “There’s not a lot of teams with money out there and guys are going to find that out. There are going to be a lot of guys not happy with what they’re going to be offered!” The only question is Coach would either player take less money to play on a contender?

Decision Time Getting Near For Marion To Opt Out Or Not

The “South Florida Sun-Sentinel” reported Tuesday, that the the Miami Heat are still unsure whether forward Shawn Marion will stick with his present deal for next season or opt out of what is the final year of his current pact. Marion was acquired by the Heat in the deal that sent center Shaquille O’Neal to the Phoenix Suns just before the NBA trade deadline. Marion is currently owed $17.8 million for the upcoming season, he has until June 24, to opt out of the pact. The report says that by opting out, Marion make himself more attractive to Miami. He could sign a long term pact with next season’s salary lower than what is he is scheduled to be paid, and make the money back during the balance of the contract. Miami Heat Team President Pat Riley has not commented on the matter.
