The “Orlando Sentinel” reported Saturday that Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard was held out of Saturday’s practice with Team USA due to a lingering injury. It seems that Howard suffered a stress fracture of his sternum during the NBA Eastern Conference Semi-Finals, which the Magic lost to the Detroit Pistons. The All-Star center was hurt when he got into a three-way pileup with Pistons players Aaron Afflalo, and Jason Maxiell during game two of the series. Magic General Manager Otis Smith told reporters that if the Magic were currently playing, Howard would be starting. The injury is expected to be completely healed when Team USA? plays in the Olympics in Beijing next month.
