Reports From Boston Say Posey Will Opt Out

The “Boston Globe” reported Monday that Celtics veteran James Posey will opt out of the second year of his contract, which will make him a free agent on July 1. Both Boston and Posey’s agent have stated that they want to reach an agreement that will keep Posey in a Celtics uniform. Posey signed a two year pact with the “Green Team” last Summer, and played a key role in Boston’s Championship run. Posey was also a member of the Miami Heat when they won their title.
