Gerald Green Signs One Year Deal With Dallas

The “Associated Press” reported on Thursday that the Dallas Mavericks have signed 22 year old small forward Gerald Green to a one year contract. Green is best known for his winning the NBA Slam Dunk Contest during All-Star weekend in 2007. He has played three seasons in the Association the first two with Boston before being traded to Minnesota in the deal that sent Kevin Garnett to the Celtics. Green had his best season in 2006-2007, when he averaged 10.4 points, and 2.5 rebounds per game. He has career averages of 8.1 points, and 2.2 rebounds per contest.
