Beasley Has Strong NBA Summer League Debut Heat Burn Bulls 94-70
Posted by Jeff Sack under NBA Summer League
Michael Beasley let the Association know he has arrived Monday night, as he led the Miami Heat to a 94-70 pasting of the Chicago Bulls. It was the first game of the NBA Summer League for both teams, and the number two pick in last month’s NBA Draft dominated the game. Beasley scored 28 points, and grabbed 9 boards for the Heat. Number one pick in the draft Derrick Rose did not make a memorable debut, as he was said to look tentative at the start of the game according to an “ESPN.com” report. Rose scored 10 points, and had four assists, but turned the ball over five times, not what you want from a point guard. Beasley spoke to reporters after the game. The rookie said “It’s just basketball, man. Played it in college, high school and middle school. The same game, same concepts, the same rules. I was just out there having fun.”
