The “Press-Enterprise” has reported that the Golden State Warrriors have signed restricted free agent Ronny Turiaf to an offer sheet. The center was a second round pick by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2005 NBA Draft. Turiaf who just completed his third season in the Association is reported to have agreed to a four year deal worth $17 million Wednesday. Because Turiaf is a restricted free agent the Lakers have the right to match the offer within seven days of the signing. Turiaf has averaged 5.5 points, and 3.5 rebounds per game during his career.

I think the Lakers should keep Turiaf. He did well off the bench and stepped up his play as the season and playoffs went on. He is a young player and will continue to improve. I would hate to see the Lakers let him go…
