Fox News” reported Monday that former NBA referee Tim Donaghy made over 100 phone calls to another NBA ref, during the period that he was supplying inside information to his associates.? The report states that Donaghy allegedly made? 134 calls to NBA referee Scott Foster between October of 2006 and April of 2007. Donaghy has previously pleaded guilty to providing information, as well as betting on games during that window.

The NBA released a statement later on Monday that Foster had been questioned on the matter. The statement read “The government had complete access to Tim Donaghy’s phone records and thoroughly investigated this matter, including conducting an interview of referee Scott Foster. The government has said that they have found no evidence of criminal conduct aside from that of Mr. Donaghy. Once again, the only criminal conduct is that of Mr. Donaghy.”

The “Associated Press“?reported Monday that Chicago Bulls rookie point guard Derrick Rose pleaded guilty Monday to speeding back in April in Illinois. Rose was pulled over by Illinois State Police on Route 88 doing 106 mph?on a section of highway where the speeding limit is 65 mph. Rose was ordered by a Kane County Judge to pay a fine of $1000.00, and to attend traffic school. Rose was the number one pick in last month’s NBA Draft by the Bulls. Derrick you may want to just stick to accelerating on the hardwood instead of the highway.

The “Philadelphia Daily News” reported Monday that the Los Angeles Clippers may have interest in trying to sign Philadelphia 76ers forward Andre Iguodala. The Sixers last week out bid the Clippers and acquired former L.A. big man Elton Brand to a multi-year pact. Unlike Brand however, Iguodala is a restricted free agent, meaning the Sixers can match any offer. The team has stressed that their two remaining priorities are signing Iguodala, and their other restricted free agent point guard Louis Williams.

The “South Florida Sun-Sentinel” reported Monday that veteran point guard Tyronn Lue could sign with the Miami Heat as early as Monday. Lue according to reports was to have had a physical Monday morning, and if he passed it would sign with the Heat. Lue has just completed his tenth season in the Association. He has played for six different teams, last season he started out with the Atlanta Hawks and finished the campaign with the Dallas Mavericks.
