Portland Trail Blazers rookie guard Jerryd Bayless scored 28 points Monday night as he led the Blazers past the Washington Wizards 78-73. Bayless in just his first game in the Las Vegas Summer League tournament, looked like a seasoned vet on the floor. The lottery pick scored 10 of Portland’s first 16 points. The Wizards were led by Nick Young and Andray Blatche who each scored 17 points.
