Cleveland Locks Up Gibson For Five Year Pact

The “Associated Press” reported Wednesday that the Cleveland Cavaliers have signed guard Daniel Gibson to a five year deal. As per team policy financial details have not been disclosed. Gibson has played two season in the Association, both with Cleveland. He averaged 10..4 ppg last season shooting at 43% from the floor. He was fifth in the league in shooting from behind the arc as he shot 44%. Gibson was also named the MVP of the NBA All-Star Rookie/Sophomore challenge.? The move should please the Cavaliers franchise player LeBron James, who has taken Gibson under his wing. Cavaliers General Manager Danny Ferry told reporters that he has been making inquiries into possibly orchestrating a trade or signing a free agent.
